ABOUT US |
|
|
This site is primarily dedicated to the
promotion of chess events and chess knowledge within the
military community (active duty, veterans and retired members).
Our secondary aim is to offer our modest contribution in the
dissemination of chess knowledge to the public at-large, and
especially to scholastic players. We accord the warmest welcome
to friends of the military.
We are pleased to announce to the public that
USMilitaryChess.org is now a legal entity. This is the official
site for the organization. The site disclaims any relationship
to any person or party unless such relationship is specified
herein or by its appointed officers.
The website or any person representing USMilitaryChess.org is
not authorized to accept any donation in cash or in kind on
behalf of the military since we are a private organization. We,
however, solicit donations in cash or in kind from interested
sponsors for the annual Armed Forces Open. Links to our
commercial sponsors are posted on this website. We are not
affiliated with the US Military in any sense nor do we claim any
rights of representation for the military in general or for any
military service in particular.
Articles and other chess resources can be downloaded from our
site free of charge. If you find the resources and articles
beneficial toward your chess improvement, please donate $1 or
buy your chess books and equipment from any of our sponsors to
fund continuing efforts.
All material contents, news or articles are written by Andres D.
Hortillosa unless otherwise specified. |
